Meet Lea

I'm Lea Skerlak, creator of Nails by Lea. I have worked as a graphic designer in Ireland and Hungary. It seemed like a dream... until it wasn't.

During my long 8-year career in advertising, I realised that I much prefer working with people than sit in an office in front of a computer.

Then came a turning point when I didn't want to do that anymore.
That was the moment I realised I needed a creative outlet.

Nails by Lea - Lea - Dordrecht nagels

A few years ago, I did a nail technician school in Hungary. I did nails for a few friends and family members from time to time, and then more and more people told me that maybe I should do it more often, because when I do it I glow, I seem to really enjoy it and I'm good at it. So I finally thought I'd take the plunge. I trained myself and I went for it.

But I had the entrepreneur itch.

You know, that particular one.

I opened my first nail studio in Dordrecht,

- after witnessing the service gap between the nails studio experience and the traditional nail salon experience -

where I welcome my existing and new clients with lots of love and laughter.

For me, it is very important to have the right knowledge in this profession, so

I learned nail anatomy and proper nail care techniques

from master instructor Silvija Aralica.

In addition to all these basic skills, I also put a lot of emphasis on hygiene, as it is essential in this kind of environment. I prioritise your well-being with stringent sanitation protocols. Our metal tools undergo thorough barbicide and ultrasonic disinfection. I’m committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for you.

I am constantly educating myself in different courses to provide my clients with the best possible treatment and to create beautiful, unique nails. To make sure that I’m achieving that I work with high quality tools and products.

I take the time with each client to provide great service.
